Welcome to Bali and thank you for visiting BaliHotels.com. This March is a wonderful time to visit Bali The end of the month will be filled with noise, fireworks and festivities culminating in Ogoh-Ogoh parades throughout the island on Sunday, 30 March. Then on Monday, 31 March, is NYEPI, the Balinese day of silence. Briefly put Nyepi is a day of total silence and peaceful meditation. Essentially Bali shuts down - no activity is allowed, no one is allowed to go out onto the streets and at night the island is plunged into complete darkness as lights are not allowed (except hotels).
If possible, we urge anyone planning to visit Bali around that time to be here by 29th and latest 30 March. Be advised that Bali's Ngurah Rai Int'l Airport WILL BE CLOSED from 6.00 am 31 March until 6.00 am 01 April to all incoming and outgoing flights. With that in mind be advised that our offices will be closed in observance Nyepi.
Also looking ahead, those planning to visit Bali Easter weekend (18-20 April) be advised that many of Bali's most popular hotels are filling quickly. That said better to book your Bali hotel as quickly as possible to get the hotel of your choice.
