Bali Hotels Update

Welcome to Bali and thank you for visiting BaliHotels.com. March is always a wonderful time to visit Bali. The middle of the month will be filled with noise, fireworks and festivities culminating in Ogoh-Ogoh parades throughout the island on Friday, 20 March. Then on Saturday, 21 March, is NYEPI, the Balinese day of silence. Briefly put Nyepi is a day of total silence and peaceful meditation. Essentially Bali shuts down - no activity is allowed, no one is allowed to go out onto the streets and at night the island is plunged into complete darkness as lights are not allowed (except hotels).

Anyone planning to visit Bali around that time needs to be here by 19th or at the very latest 20 March. Be advised that Bali Ngurah Rai Int'l Airport WILL BE CLOSED from 6.00am 21 March until 6.00am 22 March to all incoming and outgoing flights.

With that in mind please be advised that our offices will be closed in observance Nyepi. For more information on this unique day click on Bali Festivals. Also looking ahead, those planning to visit during Bali Easter weekend (3-5 April) be advised that many of Bali's most popular hotels are already reporting high occupancies. That said, better to book your Bali hotel sooner rather than later to get the hotel of your choice.
